Re: genitals in a 7 yo
My son is 7 years old. I've noticed that in the last 3-4 years his genitals haven't grown much. When he was 2-3 years old they were fine, but then it's like he's grown and his genitals have stayed the same. I've resisted fussing about it because that's probably a typical worry of all mothers. But then yesterday I saw an old picture of when he was 2 where the proportions looked much more right, and I couldn't help pondering. Thing is, he's a big meat-eater, contrarily to me,especially pork meat, and hormones contained in meat may have caused an unbalance.
Here in Italy where I live, meat is not officially injected with hormones like in US, as far as I know. Before Italy, we've lived in Mexico (that's where I first noticed a change, when my son was 3-4 yo) and in Germany.
I don't really know if it may be a hormonal unbalance, or just a phase in his growth, or genes. What's your advice?
Don't worry. His body is still growing and there will be a lot more changes as he continues to grow. When he reaches puberty things should start evening out.
