Re: Which Enaly room ozonator to buy?
I’m on low budget and I want to buy a room ozonator for my bedroom. The room is about 200 square foot. I can afford Enaly and I’ve heard they are OK quality for money. There are 2 low output models:
200CT-12 and OZX-A200B
Both are 200mg/hr, both have exchangeable plates. I contacted Enaly and was told that the only difference is timer. 200CT-12 can run 15, 30 or 45 min every hour. OZX-A200B can run from 0.5 to 3 min every 5 min. Those of you who have experience with room ozonators: is it more practical to have working in a 5-min cycle or a 1-hour cycle? Is it OK to have it run for 15 or 30 min straight as 200CT-12 does? It’s it too much ozone?
The devices are going to be hot corona. The biggest issue with these is that they will generate acids in the presence of air. The acids can be more irritating than the ozone.
The trick to using ozone for air though is to keep the output matched for the room size and keep the ozone units as high as you can in the room. Ozone weighs more than air and therefore will sink. It breaks down and reacts with compounds in the air as it sinks so less reaches lung level.
Also remember not to run ozone around wetsuits or any other material made out of rubber or the ozone will chew it up.
Does fan on these make noise?
I have no idea on these units. I have never seen one.
OZX-A200B also has a remote which I don’t need. Probably OZX-A200B will have shorter life if it runs every 5 min, but that’s not the major issue, as long as cycle is right.
