Update on dandelion and slippery elm
I’m still taking slippery elm tincture three times a day (since 20 March, 2012). BM’s, almost immediately, became smoother but were still slim and not enough.
Since 21st April I’ve been boiling the roots of dandelion and drinking a glass of the water 3 times a day.
For the first 2 weeks the improvement was very strong. I had extraordinary energy and positive thinking.
My
food sensitivities went in a remarkable way; I ate cheesecake and wheat without any reaction.
BM’s became darker and though on the slim side, were changing all the time and on a few occasions - almost normal. BM’s are now odourless or have the earthy smell of a poo when you were a child.
After two weeks I suddenly didn’t go. That was on 3rd May. Since then I have been really struggling. I have bloating and gas and am only going small amounts. Ezcema is back again on my face as the
food sensitivities kick in once again. The slim poos could indicate some kind of blockage but I have had a colon scan (in the past) and there was no obvious obstruction. When I do go my stomach is sore.
Since today, I have stopped drinking the dandelion “tea” and have switched to drying the roots and making a powder and taking ½ teaspoon a day. There is a old man who believes this method has cured his cancer.

Also, collecting dandelions is quite a tricky practice. You have to collect quite a lot to boil the roots. It’s time consuming and it attracts attention from people who don’t like to see any wild plants dug up (with reason). Drying the roots makes them go further. Here’s hoping more effective too.
