mom needs to eat and drink

mom has stage iv Breast Cancer that metastasized to her bones and other organs. she also has a catheter in her lung draining a cancerous pleural effusion. anyway, we are treating alternatively but she is getting to where i cannot get her to eat or drink hardly anything all day long. even the alt. meds that we mix in juice. she's throwing up or gagging on most and i don't know what to do. yesterday she may have drank possibly one glass of water, three bites of oatmeal, and half a bowl of miso broth. is asking her m.d. for a feeding tube, my only alternative? i juice for her and shes throwing up most of that too. i'm frustrated and getting scared. and the turmoil of trying to get her to eat a bit or drink a sip cannot be good for either one of us. it seems its coming to an argument every day. any suggestions?
