Parotid gland cramping/pain....anyone else?

For a number of years, long before Iodine I have had cramping type feeling in my parotid glands when I first put food in my mouth for several seconds. I never much thought about it, more weirdness in my body.

I have noticed that I am getting more of this the past few weeks.

Is this what parotid stones do?
Or is this a parotid gland trying desperately to excrete and not able to because the Iodine is low?

Just curious if anyone else has had this?

especially curious since I was in Florida visiting my folks a couple of months ago when I learned that my Mom had a tumor removed from her L parotid gland several years ago.

I think I am feeling a bit annoyed and sad that after two years on Iodine, it seems I am still having signs that it is not getting into my tissues.
