Re: Considering Dr.Lam

Hi. I am one of the guys whom Dr. Lam's protocol helped. There are also other people who had to quit the protocol. For me the onset of AF happens over a week. The AF is a really bad thing that could happened. It cost me a lot. the worst thing it took me a year to find a guy who said it was the AF.

You may try with Dr. Lam. It looks like he became very careful with his patients. May be because of complaints he is getting. In his protocol, he misses one thing: he considers that simple carbs are bad for you. May be it is true in the beginning of the treatment when blood Sugar is not stable. Then, in later stages, it is necessary to include orange juice (i also included honey), just white Sugar in the diet. The process of converting fat, proteins to Sugar is similar to stress response and also destroys muscles.

I found papers by Dr. Ray Peat.

In the 1970s, dietitians began talking about the value of including "complex carbohydrates" in the diet. Many dietitians (all but one of the Registered Dietitians that I knew of) claimed that starches were more slowly absorbed than sugars, and so should be less disruptive to the blood sugar and insulin levels. People were told to eat whole grains and legumes, and to avoid fruit juices.

These recommendations, and their supporting ideology, are still rampant in the culture of the United States, fostered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the American Dietetic Association and the American Diabetes Association and innumerable university departments of home economics, dietetics, or nutrition.

I have been eating/drinking orange juice, ice cream, add sugar/honey to my drinks. I feel great, like never before while having adrenal fatigues. I hope the last few symptoms will go away soon with high metabolism.

Klauss.

You may also have a look at the this video and check his blog. Actually, after reading his blog and watching video I have decided to give a try to simple carbs.
