I tried papaya seeds from fresh papaya and I think they work somewhat against worms. Whether it's a long time cure I don't think so. I didn't eat them dried, I just pulverized them into a mush, and swallowed a tablespoon a couple times daily for 2 days. On the third day I got a worm out, and I was doing nothing else so it must be the seeds. When you have a big infection, one worm is not so great. I do remember it relieving some bloat.
I think there are lots of food items that got some worms out for me, but it was never like you see written up on the "remedy" sites. They act like you eat the seeds and take a purgative and worms are all gone. I only did it for a couple of days, maybe I should have given it longer.
That is interesting about the platelet count, worms make your platelets go down. I don't know if the papaya leaf extract in your link has the same properties as the seeds are supposed to.
