aluminum is not a problem, because it is natural form and you will not absorb it. I would worry more about if this clay was tested for bad  bacteria, arsenic, lead... Without knowing the brand it is hard to say. I, personally, use 3 brands (Living, Terramin and Pascalite), all 3 are tested and safe to use. I use them internally, for ulcerative colitis and externally, for bath, poultices and facials.
