Killing skin parasites using ozonated water?

I have mite infection in my skin, from scalp to toes. For two days, I tried the following more or less continuously for 5-6 hours each day: Put 2-3 litres of water in a bucket and put my feet in it. Turn on SOTA's water ozonator continuously to ozonate the water.

I felt the feet get somewhat better after the two days, but the mites are definitely still there.

Questions:

1. I am not sure this method is effective since the result isn't too obvious. Would the ozone get into the skin to kill the mites?

2. If yes, how long (in days or weeks) would it take to get complete recovery in the feet?
