Recovering from mold exposure...new food intolerances.
Hello I am slowly recovering from what was a 2 year mold exposure. It left me physically drained to the point where I didn't really want to live anymore and I used to be a person that was overly optimistic about everything. Anyway, I am finally out of that environment and I brought nothing with me and have been on the road to recover for about a year now. I'd say that I'm about 80% better.
I was wondering if anyone who has had a bad mold exposure has since developed intolerances to certain foods? I know for me that I can no longer handle caffiene. I drink one cup of coffee and my body can't handle it, it's too much. Also with fermented beverages such as wine and beer...I used to love a cold beer and now if I drink either I become extremely fatigued, and as little as 2 glasses of wine can leave me with a pounded headache and brain fog all the next day.
Also I'm a person who really likes to go to the gym and workout a lot and I used to take suppliments sometimes when I worked out. Now it's not possible because my body can't handle them.
It seems a though my body is not able to process certain things like it used to. I don't know if the mold exposure has done some type of damage to my liver (which is used to process toxins), but if someone could provide me with some feedback if they are/or have experienced the same thing, I'd love to hear from you. Maybe you have some suggestions of how to regulate the issue. Right now I'm just avoiding these foods but I mean I would like to enjoy a cup of coffee again or a nice beer.
Thanks so much for your help!
Mark
PS and for those of you going through a mold exposure right now, I just want you to know that it might seem like the nightmare will never end, but trust me it will. You must get yourself out of that environment and after this you will begin the long road to recovery.
