Taurine and the Heart

So I'm going through amino acids supps one at a time, to see what effect they have on me... Something strange happened when I started supping w/ taurine. I got this mild pain in my heart, on the right side. I say "on the right side" b/c all my life any heart sensations or pains have always been on the left side. So this is a first. It was short-lived and mild, but very definite. Also, I got symptoms that (for me) indicate bile blockage/problems: oily face and scalp, pimple on my neck at the beard-line, and light colored stool. I also gained some weight during the week that I took it. (I started at 500 mg 2x/day and went up to 2,500 mg/day.)

I'm actually glad this happened as it gives me, potentially, a chance to learn something about my state. (Better than noticing nothing at all, as happened with L-Glutamine.) There are a couple of distinct reasons why I might be deficient in taurine, so I'm leaning toward this being a detox of some kind, or an adjustment phase as the body goes from a lack to an abundance.

What lead me to try it was reading that taurine can help with the liver's sulfation pathway, which I recently discovered is an issue for me.

Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge, personal or otherwise. The other issues I've been dealing with are candida, adrenals and kidneys.
