I got it to combat candida while I'm chelating, and also to experiment with it topically. At the very least I can put it in my emergency bag for water purification. I kind of like the bitter taste (conditioned by dandelions I'm sure!).
I treat a natural Antibiotic just like I would a pharmaceutical one, by a major flush of home made probiotics afterwards. I use kraut, raw milk kefir and water kefir. Water kefir is awesome.
I don't really understand the fear of killing "good" vs "bad" organisms. It's really balance that needs to be accomplished, at least that's how I look at it.
