I had my period this past Feb. for 3 weeks. I went to the doctor and they did a biopsy right there in the office. The usually do this routinely if you've been bleeding for an extended period of time. I ended up having endometrial hyperplasia and am now on a 3-mo course of Provera to hopefully clear it up. If that doesn't clear it up, I need to have a hysterectomy, as the hyperplasia could possibly lead to cancer. I have five weeks left of the Provera. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. BTW, I'm 50, premenopausal, my periods started changing last August. I hope all is well with you!
