I do have what I think is a bone spur on my finger

But I am wondering do you think this would work on bone spur on the lower spine associated with herniation and spinal stenosis

does the lubricant have to be Vaseline which contains petroleum products and I think mineral oil or can it be something like castor oil or olive oil?
