Re: The Keys to Healthy Blood Pressure

In addition to the article, keeping insulin levels normal, not elevated, is another key at controlling blood pressure. Wheat, for example, will spike insulin levels higher than sugar when consumed. The eldest centarians all had one thing in common, low/well controlled insulin levels. In many lifestyles, it includes more sodium (processed) than potassium in the diet. A balance is never reached when sodium is elevated while potassium is low. High insulin levels can alter body weight, increasing body mass as well. Exercise and deep rest improve insulin sensitivity. One damages the system, the other repairs it. Many people don't get proper rest and do not repair as well as possible. 7-8 hours of deep sleep most nights would assist the body's systems in repair functions to a high degree. I've noticed that low D status often correlates with poor rest. Try getting more Sun, rest, clean water, exercise, unprocessed foods, and some complex carbs with little sugar to fight off more than high blood pressure.
