Pls Help: Heat in stomach, always hungry

For about the past year my wife has had these symptoms, particularly at night...

Main symptoms: Heat in stomach, always hungry (especially at night), weight gain

Other: occasional heart palpitations, very occasional weakness in arms when this happens, muddy stool (was regular, now it's occasional)

Her blood Sugar is normal and her thyroid seems to be normal.

This is a very confusing issue to us and we doubt western medicine can help. We have faith in TCM.
