I'm having my first Bartholin's Cyst. It came up overnight about the size of a small egg. I went to the doc to make sure it wasn't something more serious. They mentioned the "S" word of course and put me on Antibiotics . It isn't helping so far. I tend to agree with you. Coaxing it to drain out the opening made for that just seems like a better idea. I started with warm E.salt baths, E. salt compresses, and just sent my DH to the store to get Phoebe's protocol. I just hope it goes away fast...it came up Tuesday...today is Saturday.
