real country baskets

This has to be one of my favorite pictures!

Even though we don't sell many of these baskets for the Amish, I still enjoy them. I posted the old website http://www.rusticbaskets.com and it would not work from the forum, but looking it up direct worked just fine.

We did sell the large chest basket to a lady in N.Y.C. for a Christmas gift for her friend, she e-mailed back exclaiming the basket was so beautiful and true American art, I have always felt that way, but I just have never found a way to market them. The Amish have had hard times since gas went up, fewer and fewer sales as ther common person is running out of money for the extras in life.

Many people have said this large basket is the pretties of them all, we had one made for a local lady with a wood lid, man was that a HUGE BASKET!

I have the store decorated with the baskets and need to find a saleable product so I could attract local people and then form a real store with daily hours, there are not enough people with interest to open a country store with just herbs.
