Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov told reporters in New Delhi on Tuesday that Russia and India were planning to hold joint exercises of their airborne troops in 2005.
“At the end of next year joint exercises of airborne troops will be held on Indian territory,” the Russian minister said.
Ivanov also spoke highly about the prospects of Russian-Indian military-technical cooperation. At the same time, he denied reports about the sale of Russian aircraft engines, which can be fitted to Chinese fighter jets, to Pakistan.
