I started my husband and myself on magnesium chloride (we live in Mexico and it's sold in bags at the pharmacies). We were doing well on 1/4 tsp. mixed in smoothies. I was drinking one smoothie a day and my husband 3. I should've stopped there. But then I found magnesium chloride in capsules 380mg. with a little calcium and zinc added. So we took those on top of the other. We stopped sleeping. Now it's been a few days since either one of us has slept well even though I've stopped ALL the magnesium. Not sure what to do. My husband is once again VERY AGITATED... which is why I started the magnesium in the first place. Not sure whether I should restart with the 1/4 tsp. in the smoothies again or wait longer... How long does it take for magnesium to clear the system? Possibly it's not the magnesium causing the insomnia, but not sure what else it could be. But I can't find insomnia as a side effect anywhere!
