So I've finally stopped and now I feel like crap
I'm 33, smoked moderately (rollies with filter) for 18 years and quit six weeks ago after attending an Allan Carr workshop. The motivation is there, I am not interested in smoking and surprisingly have not suffered too much in the way of withdrawal (apart from feeling and acting like a 13 year old teenage girl sometimes!) but I feel like crap. It has changed over the time from feeling some nausea and pressure in my temples and generally congested, to pimples on my lips (and one on my finger today ffs), an awful cough and the sorest throat I've had in years. I have never felt so unwell in my life!
Anyway, I have had a
colonic irrigation (lucky me) and will have a few more, started taking pro-biotics and some enzyme thing, have cut the booze down to Fri-Sun nights only and will start having a sauna twice a week as of tomorrow. I have a good serve of fruit up to five days a week and usually have two serves of veg a day, some yoghurt up to five times a week and I (try to) eat very little high carb/refined foods. I am also slowly cutting down on my high salt intake and have been slowly tackling the coffee (currently three cups a day and then decaf and Peppermint tea).
Can anybody recommend other methods to try and speed this process along and get the toxins out of my system?? I (and the people that have to deal with me) would appreciate the info greatly...
