One more thing. The CT of the TL spine showed mild- mod disc extrusion. But before all of these problems I listed the dog was being given Meropenum for an e.coli urinary tract infection. Two weeks into the meropenum treatment she started to become painful and we read on the internet that meropenum has been reported to cause severe joint pain. We are wondering if this could be contributing to her pain which is causing her to not want to walk. Do you know of any way to conteract the results if this has occured from the drug ( it has been over 1 1/2 months since it was discontinued) Also an update on the dog, today she is starting to show neuro deficits again with knuckling of her hind legs. Any advice would be very appreciated.
