Re: Should I Get My Permanent Retainer Removed?

Thanks for your opinion, Eric!

I do not have any silver fillings, fortunately. However I did have braces for three solid years and in there for about a year I had a ''herbst'' device in my mouth that included a lot of metal. Thick metal bars connecting my top and bottom teeth, not to mention metal coverings on some of my back teeth to keep the whole device in place.

I've just been thinking more about this lately and it's made me realize that since my ears can't tolerate metal earrings, only pure gold, why would my body be able to handle the metal in my mouth better?

Maybe this metal has been slowly poisoning myself for years and that would explain why things like saunas and foot detoxes have helped me temporarily, but never completely.

May I ask, did you see a lot of improvements after you had all the metal in your mouth removed? Or did you have to chelate to see improvements?

Thanks!
