Is it safe to use aluminum foil/copper as contact points

I've begun making my own earthing devices using copper and or aluminum foil as contact points for my body. Last night slept on a aluminium sheet that was in contact with my body. I'm worried that I could give my self heavy metal poisining from doing this.
Does any body have any technical knowledge on this and could give me insight if my fears are legit? Tweet
