Re: marijuana and cancer

I saw a documentary the other day about how marijuana could potentially cure cancer. I would like to know what Hveragerthi and others think about this. Below is a preview link to the documentary.

And here is a full documentary on the medical benefits of marijuana and also talks about it being a potential cancer-fighter near the end of the episode.

It would be nice if the video went more in to what cannabis chemicals they are referring to.  Simply stating that the chemicals in cannabis did whatever for cancer does not tell us much of anything.  Of course part of the anti-cancer effects could be attributed to the phytoestrogens found in cannabis.  Although, I found this site, which shows some research on other components in cannabis that do show a lot of promise:

Of course smoking it would probably cause more problems than it helps.  And there is the various chemicals such as pesticides that are often used to grow it, which may also be a problem.

Should people be allowed to use it treat their cancer?  Why not?  That should be an individual's choice, especially when allopathic medicine has very little to offer for most cancers.  And two of their favorites, radiation and chemotherapy, are both well known carcinogens.
