Should I keep going - copper detox?

Hello all,

So any feedback is much appreciated. I am about 4 months into a nutritional balancing plan to slow down oxidation and detox copper. I am really unsure of whether I am on the right track or if I am wasting valuable time and resources..

Nutritional balancing including (zinc, taurine, gb3, vit.C, more protein less carbs, gluten free).

Better:
Sleep & insomnia
More even appetite
Oral Thrush
body fat
Anxiety
Palpitations (although still present after alcohol)

Worse: (but all present before detox began as well)
Depression
Fatigue
brain fog
lite and at times painful & itching bowel movements
motivation
Testicular pain after sex

I know this is a slow process, but most of my progress was immediate and I haven't made much if any progress in the last 2+ months. Personal factors ie. grades, work performance, and personal relationships actually seem to be going downhill

Have other people doing nutritional balancing and metal detoxes experienced this and what kind of timeline have people experienced before noticeably feeling better? I am considering whether I need to switch course and try to focus more on adrenals and candida...I need to find the root of my feeling lousy and i'm wondering whether copper toxicity is just another symptom of a larger problem?

Gracias and happy healing
