Re: How bad is smoking hash/pot for AF sufferers ?

Frankly, I don't know what the impact of cannabis consumption is on "Adrenal fatigue". I suspect that it may not help, generally. Could be highly dependent on a number of factors. If you feel it triggered your AF before, why would you be taking it now?

I believe in the therapeutic power of cannabis, but, as with any drug, it's possible to dose too little or too much. Euphoria-generating drugs are riskier to administer — there's always the desire to feel better, and it's easy to push for that even if it means pushing past therapeutic benefits into harm. If you over-administer, you will end up feeling bad. Since feeling bad increases the desire to feel better, and since euphoria promoting drugs (usually, or used to) make you feel better, it's easy to push yourself into a vicious cycle. Watch for thinking like "Yeah, I know it could be a bad idea, but it's probably okay."

Chronic use is known to increase anxiety. Precisely what you don't want with AF. What exactly those studies were referring to by "long-term" or "chronic", I don't know. If you were concerned about it, you would do well to research.

My personal experience involved even moderate doses of cannabis resulting in extreme unpleasant physical response during the height of my AF. Shaking, badly cold extremities. This wasn't always the case. Edibles made for a more frequently pleasant experience. I'm guessing that's because the dose is administered more gradually, rather than spiking the system.

(Smoking joints is better than using a bong, just from a carcinogens standpoint. While the effect on tumors is either neutral or helpful (tumor reducing), smoking marijuana increases risk of emphysema. Probably best not to suck in anything that's burned. Vaporizing (or eating) is far better.)

In the right dose, cannabis can relieve anxiety. There may be other factors required for cannabis to be effective this way, such as mind set and various physical health qualities. I don't feel comfortable applying this drug in my current state. Feels like rolling dice. There are other substances that more reliably and safely relieve anxiety. Consider them.

Just this past month I've gotten to a point where it seems I can start drinking wine again without negative effect. Once I feel certainly stable I'll start having a glass of wine with dinner nightly. In time I'll add cannabis back in, too. Right now, being sure to get well outweighs the value of the recreation.
