Re: mineral/vitamin imbalances or deficienices that cause BO

Do you know which mineral or vitamin deficiencies or imbalances can cause body odour? Especially arm pit body odour. I think zinc/copper (i.e. take to much of one and not the other and then it flares up) may for me but wondered if there are any others.

Zinc deficiencies can cause increased body odor.

Foods high in protein or choline can increase body odor.

Odor in general is most often caused from the action of bacteria on sweat leading to a release of ammonia from the sweat.  Try using a mild organic acid like a weak citric acid solution on your armpits to neutralize the ammonia.
