Re: Chlorella
Whats the main difference between Chlorella, Spirulina and Wheat/Barley Grass?
The biggest difference between chlorella and spirulina is that chlorella is actually an algae. Even though spirulina is generally referred to as an algae it is actually a cyanobacteria.
Other differences are chlorella is about 60% protein as where spirulina is about 90% protein. Chlorella though is significantly higher in chlorophyll and contains a growth hormone although it is anti-cancer. Chlorella is also a mild laxative and great for binding heavy metals.
The grasses are good nutritional sources, and barley grass has also been shown to help with high blood sugar. This could simply be from the high fiber content though. The fiber also boosts the intestinal flora providing a number of other benefits. Barley grass has also been found to have some anti-cancer properties and lowers cholesterol. This is in large part due to the beta-sitosterol content.
Wheat Grass does not have glutein right?
Correct. The gluten is in the seeds, not the sprouted young plants.
Is Chlorella from Yaeyama region still safe?
Yes. The chlorella is being monitored for radiation contamination and no contamination has been detected.
Is the safest to get organic wheat grass?
Yes, it would be cleaner.
How long can you take it for?
You can take it as long as you want. Just don't take too much in one shot.
