curious

I had a really unusual experience this morning -1-18-12 and i wonder if anyone else has experienced anything similar.
I never lay on my stomach because of acid reflux will cause me to aspirate my stomach acid into my lungs but early this morning i woke up lying on my stomach and aspirated quite alot of acid into my lungs, i sat straight up to stop it from happening anymore, when i saw 2 flashlights where my bedroom wall should have been at the head end of my bed.
When i finally stopped coughing i realized i should be punching someone but i didnt see any faces behind the lights and i was so weak for some reason i could hardly hold myself up.
Then i noticed my knees hurt, because they werent on my soft bed but a very hard surface of some sort, suddenly i was lying back down and then i woke up at 3:30 feeling like i slept thru the night and couldnt sleep anymore after that.
could someone tell me if this is common or could it have just been a nightmare?
