Millions of sites to lower blood sugar; none to raise it
There are millions of web sites with tons of info on lowering overly high blood sugar. But those of us who have hypoglycemia are always left in the cold.
I'm so sick of trying to do searches for things that help hypoglycemia. Some wonderful "experts" out there on the web have the brilliant advice of "eat more often". Gee do you think we have not tried that.
Every time I find a page with some reference to a natural ingredient that "balances blood sugar" or "modulates blood sugar", what they always mean is that the ingredient lowers ovely high blood sugar, not that it raises blood
Sugar that is too low. The assumption (and you know what they say about the word "assume"), is always that the reader seeks to lower blood sugar, not raise it.
Eating more often has not helped, avoiding process food, white foods, and sweets which I've done for years has not helped. The only supplement ever mentioned that has some consistent proof is chromium, been there, done that.
And don't get me started on all the ingredients that in one study seem to help low blood sugar, yet in another study do the exact opposite.
There, done venting. Thanks.
