Weird period HELP!

I'm 19 years old and have been on hormonal birth control for about 4 years to regulate period, and because I would always get ovarian cysts. I was feeling really sick for a few months an was advised to start Iodine because I was very deficient.
So I had started on 12.5 mg of iodine, in mid to late november then had really bad detox symptoms, after about a week or two I started taking half a pill twice a day, then I was still having symptoms so I kept lessening the dose to once a day half a pill.

I've tried to find a info on it but could not.
I got my period and it was very strange, it lasted only 4 days and was thick, light and mucus filled, and didn't really flow. I used some tampons in the beginning thinking it would get heavier but none of them got full so I stopped using them, and only blood came out when I went pee and wiped. I was thinking it could be from all the hormonal changed from messing around with the iodine, but I just wanted to see if anyone else was having or had had any issues like this.
I don't think i'm pregnant because I got my period when I usually do, and I also use condoms.
I am really freaked out though.
