Parathyroid surgery

I wanted to hear from anyone that has had surgery from the Parathyroid Center in Tampa Florida. Any information you could give me would be great. I really think my mom has this. She just came home Christmas Eve from being in the hospital for 3 days. Her Calcuim level was 12.7!! Yet the Dr.s just sent her home and told her to take pain medicine and follow up with her own Dr.
Her biggest complaint is her bones hurt. She mentioned to me last night that she feels a lump in her throat.
