yep... hydroxides are highly active compounds and short lived in solutions of air/liquids.
use your own god given common sense.

AC vinegar or fresh squeezed lemon
and limewater
mixed together will expand and fizz to a lesser extent and slower, however, just like lemon juice/ACV and baking soda... so do not fill the container full, or put a lid on it or it will overflow and/or break the container.
