Re: Hveragerthi, wrong lab test on Amyloidosis

Hi Hveragerthi: I wrote to you a couple of weecks ago, I had positive congo red stain on my tongue biopsy.
This is to tell you that a new biopsy on the same piece of tongue, made at the top clinical hospital in the Capitol of my country has show : No sign of amyloidosis,Cancer or displasia.
My hematologist was very mad at the wrong biopsie results and said this is not the first time he has found a mistake like this done in my town. Well, it is a lot different if you think you are dealing with a dreathful disease and then jump in joy as you find out the truth. You are O.K.
Then I asked the reason for the high beta 2 microglobulin and high IgG, and he said it is because I have a huge inflamation on the body.
Do you know specific natural treatments to reduce inflamation ? So far I have know of Curcumin.Do you know if the "Zone diet" will help ?

Glad to hear that the biopsy was wrong so nothing really serious is happening.

There are a lot of things that can reduce inflammation.  But the goal for the long term should be to strengthen the adrenals since it is the adrenals that produce the body's anti-inflammatory steroids.

There are herbs that are much stronger than turmeric (curcumin).  The two strongest anti-inflammatories are licorice root and yucca root.  Both licorice and yucca root also support adrenal function.  I also like boswellia and Devil's claw as anti-inflammatories.

Fish oils also reduce inflammation due to their omega 3 content, which counters the inflammatory omega 6 fatty acid arachidonic acid.

I also recommend trimethylglycine (TMG), which counters inflammatory homocysteine.

I am not that familiar with the Zone Diet.  But animal proteins should be limited since they are the source of inflammatory arachidonic acid.
