Re: Estrogen and Liver function

I have a question that puzzles me. I recnetly done a biofeedback scan on my son, he is 12. This is a very advanced equipment and I know it did find a lot of things that are true. What we found is that his liver bile flow is slow, thyroid is slow. He has Babesia(Lyme III), also mycoplasma in the bladder. When I talked to the dr who did the scan, it looks like the bile flow is hormone induced. Is the hormonal insufficiency causing this, or the parasites in the liver causing it, since his thyroid is slow is that the root of the problems? It also showed liver toxicity that needs to be addressed. How should we go first. My feeling is to kill all the bacteria, parasites and correct the disbiosis in the intestines(which also showed up).

It does not sound like hormone deficiency.  If the hormones are playing a role it would be from them being in excess.  High progesterone slows bile flow and high estrogen can suppress thyroid function.  If he is overweight this could cause a rise in estrogen in particular.

The best way to cleanse the liver is with digestive bitters.  By cleansing the liver with bitters the liver will do a better job of breaking down excess hormones and will also stimulate bile release.  The bitters do take a little getting use to, and he should drink plenty of water throughout the day when using them.

Many bitters are also antiseptic, and will address bacteria including mycoplasmas.

If he will not use the bitters then the other option would be the herb bupleurum, which also cleanses the liver and helps with bile flow.

More fiber in the diet can also help with both bile formation and binding of free hormones.  Rice bran or oat bran are particularly helpful since they also provide B vitamins needed by the liver to break down excess hormones.
