You want the probiotics on the lower levels of your digestive track. If you lower your stomach acid then bacteria will be able to multiple easily very early on. Good bacteria that is in high numbers in upper level of digestive track is bad also (means SIBO = Small intestine bacterial overgrowth). This will cause you a lot of gas and bloating.
So the idea of enteric coating is great - probiotic bacteria will be released when the pill is on the lower section of digestive track. I am always curious about the execution though. Is the pill really dissolves where it is suppose to fails to dissolve or dissolves to early (since everybody has different ph level , different mobility etc.). But unfortunately, enteric coating is still one of the better delivery solutions out there.....
