Re: oops, getting off-topic, now...

I almost always have silence...and really love it. Find it is layered with a kind of music beyond sound. This is just for a 'pinch' of music... like a good pinch of hilmalayan salt, now and again. Really I want to play music. and sing more.

When I was younger, I thought listening to music was the ONE thing I could never do without. Not radio though, good "sounds", as we used to call it. British rock, world music, etc. etc.

The roof of music got blown open when I was about 7 and my sister's godfather brought back an LP from Africa called Missa Luba. A Congolese mass. Wow!!! The human voice.(Not the modern wimpy version...The old LP. One song was made famous in the film IF, but the album is amazing.)

Then there is some of the music from the film Baraka--"Dead Can Dance" is kinda wonderful,for those with an ear for it.


I realize this subject doesn't much interest you...but maybe some others..? I'm getting way off-topic. Time for bed.
