Seborrheic Dermatitis on Face - Found something that works

Hi All,

Just wanted to put this out on the net somewhere. I have had a rash on my cheeks for 2 years. I went to a dermatologist and was told it was Seborrheic Dermatitis . I was given a prescription for Desonide. I used it for a year (not knowing I shouldn't use it long term). It helped a little, but never made it go away. I went to another dermatologist and was given hydrocortizone and ketaconazole. The ketoconazole made it worse and the hydrocortizone only helped if I continually used it. I was ruining my face with steroids. I also tried Aquaphor and Derm Essentials. Didn't help.

About a week ago, I started washing my face with Clean & Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub. It has menthol in it and leaves your face "minty". It helped my face feel better and less itchy and the thickness of the rash started getting better. Then a couple of days ago I started putting Avon's Moisture Therapy Hand Cream on it and voila, my face has cleared up drastically. It's only been a day and a half and my face looks better than it has in years. I will come back and post again in about a week and let you know if it disappears entirely, but wanted to get this out there for fellow sufferers!

UPDATE: Okay, bad idea. It did help for a few days, but then it started irritating my skin. I then tried Organic Virgin Coconut Oil. Really bad idea! Totally inflamed my skin. I have just recently found Aveeno Eczema Cream and have been using it for 5 days now and my cheeks look almost completely healed. I am extremely hopeful this is going to be it!
