I have recently been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and am trying to heal myself. Mostly I am looking into supporting my body with the food that I eat. Now I have heard two different views on seaweed, one being that it is high in Iodine and should therefore be avoided as it is basically giving my thyroid gland more of what it needs to get hyper! The other is that seaweed actually has a balancing effect on the thyroid.
Does anyone here have a view? I'd like to hear it!
