Our Veterans Need A Hand
Our Veterans Need a Hand
There are many wars that are fought on homeland soil,
for veterans coming home our medical and
government is causing quite a toll.
They fought for their country and left everyone they loved,
they have a right to be disappointed, they are our veterans
and we need to give them a hug instead of a shrug.
For those veterans with disabilities we need to help guide their way,
we need to shine a light with our knowledge to help them accept
the unimaginable so they want to live another day.
Though not a veteran I most surely try and understand,
I am a 2 time brain injury survivor with epilepsy and PTSD
that wants to reach out a caring hand.
I will never be part of the brotherhood among veterans,
it is a different bond that has me reaching for vets in need,
it just seems together we could get a whole lot more done.
