Re: sorry to see posts

As long as what we discuss in this forum is biblical, I don't see why not. Our different belief systems may have us look at certain things at a different angle but one thing I may take issue with as far as Bill goes is the belief in the gold dust appearing out of nowhere.

I already went through that with a friend and her pastor. Her church finally wised up and got rid of him but he went on to another church that had signs of gold dust just before the Feds caught up to him. So, I do worry about this and wonder about the pastor and his discernment.

I do realize that some people can not handle true blessings from God and get sucked into a misunderstanding of prosperity and turn it all into a worldly, negative belief system. God does bless us but most of the time it is in spiritual ways more than physical ways. Anyone who is blessed in the physical and has a heart of God, will always be taking those things and reinvesting it to bless others with it and not just use it for their own selfish gain.

Incorrect ideas about prosperity can cause a person to look for signs and miracles only and not do the heart/soul preparation of reading their bibles, seeking His face and searching out the better gifts that God has in store for us.

I have not found a pastor that does not have some false teaching in him. The ones I worry the most about are the ones who "know" it is wrong and teach it anyway in order to deceive and/or keep everything flowing in their favor to look good and godly to others.

Pastors can be very moving and inspirational but so can a good salesman. Discernment is always needed when we listen to anyone who tries to speak to our hearts, that is why we need our bible in hand and wisdom from above.

Most of us became christians because of someone speaking to us about the Lord and what He did for us. That is how the seed is planted and we enjoy that good sweet milk of the gospel that is so satisfying. In time we move forward and also learn to dig deep into His word and seek God's face for the meat that He has to share, to help us get through this life we now live and to prepare us for our eternal life job as princes (princesses) in the Kingdom of God.
