Re: Probiotics - when to take, and how useful?
I know its very controversial but I'm going to be totally honest with you the thing that has helped me the most is doing IV DMPS. I started in January and it was a little bit harsh at first but substantially reduced the metals in my body. I then did a lot of reading and researching and found that this method can be very dangerous and that cutler's method is the most efficient and safest method. I did that method for 4 months, going up to 100mg DMSA and 100 mg ALA every three hours for 3 days on and 4 days off. During those four months my yeast symptoms skyrocketed on the days off, but not so much on the days off. I attributed it to the metals just being redistributed at the end of the cycle, but I honestly think it was either the high dose of dmsa or ala that caused it. I stopped in July and went back to IV DMPS. I am doing 100 mg once a week IV since then, and am feeling sooo much better. On the days off I replenish my minerals with a mineral supplement. And I also take milk thistle 2 times a day. I don't know much about
Iodine or selenium treatment but it seems kind of slow to me. If you are experiencing such bad symptoms of candida I suggest you look into a more vigorous program such as cutler's or IV DMPS, even though I know there is humungous controversy with IV DMPS with the pro cutler people. It's risky, but compared to how I was feeling, I didn't care. I took the risk, and it definetely worked for me.
