Possible Body Odour Cause

I have been having a urine smelling body odour off and on for a few years and have been told by my doctors it's because of severe dehydration and my kidneys not flushing the toxins out of my body....every time I had the body odour he checked my BUN levels (which is some type of kidney function test) and the levels were too high, and he told me to drink A LOT and flush my kidneys out and I did and the odour went away, now everytime I get the problem I just drink LOTS of water and the odour goes away, I get dehydrated because I have a hard time drinking fluids...and sometimes I go days and don't drink anything, then the body odour starts and I get scared and embarrassed and drinks lots and it goes away.
