Re: Adult Acne and Liver Flushing

yep.
what works for me?
diet, and food combining, and good sweat-inducing exercise.
and no toxins (drinking/drugs), and only drinking water.

to me, you have to be totally honest with yourself about what you eat.
it's like ordering a Diet Coke with your Chicken-fried Steak and fries (all of which are pretty bad for you, sadly).
I've had face, back and shoulder Acne for 4 years now (I'm 32) and no cream or pill in the world will fix it. only a healthy regimen is showing success.

your body is pushing toxins thru your skin, because it A) can't handle the load via the liver/kidneys, and B) your hormones are out of whack.
I think all of us come here looking for a relatively quick fix (who wouldn't), but most of us end up accepting wholesale lifestyle changes.

read, read and read some more. surf all the forums, Google anything that comes to mind.

right now, I'm looking into Adrenal Fatigue, because when your endocrine system is off, that's what leads to hormonal imbalances, and they're pretty tricky/time-consuming to get back........everyone's different, but if you have eaten a typical North American diet your whole life, all that Sugar and processed crap are eventually going to throw your system out of whack.

when I say be honest about what you eat, it's not the healthy food that heals you, it's the crap food that makes you sick - you have to get rid of it and allow your body time to heal. the healthy food is good, but it's not like it cancels out the bad stuff - in fact, your body is getting so tired processing the bad stuff that it's not really getting the most out of any of the good stuff that you DO ingest.
Acne is just your body's way of saying "I need a break!".

not like it's going to be easy; I've done 15 Liver Flushes, and completely eliminated Sugar and caffeine and processed grains/white flour from my diet, and booze and meds, and I still don't have the nicest skin, but it is definitely improving.
and there are enough posts online that suggest the faith to stick to your agenda will pay off - people wouldn't drink a cup of Olive-Oil every 3-4 wks otherwise.

so good luck, and keep reading.
