Making and eating sprouts 4X a day got me alkaline!
I eat a basically healthy, organic diet and include milk products and eggs and just a little meat which are acididc. I have had a terrible time getting alkaline. Every day my numbers would drop on the little paper strips and I would have to take a tsp of baking soda with some lime juice in it. Then I had to drink that with a lot of water so as not to stress my kidneys, & make sure that I had plenty of folic acid & potassium to counteract the effects of the baking soda.
I had been eating some sprouts once a day. I noticed that while I was killing candida that they would give me more energy to fight off the die off so I started eating them several times a day. I would add in cut up apples and dried blueberries & strawberries and pieces of orange (which I also had been eating daily) for flavor. This definitely increases my energy and sense of well being!
Then yesterday for the first time in at about a year I did not need the baking soda & lime juice! All day long I was in the right range for alkalinity. Since nothing else changed I'm sure it was the sprouts.
They are easy and cheap to grow in a mason jar or even an old apple sauce jar and keep in the refrigerator for at least a week.
What I have been chosing for sprouts are green mung beans, lentils & yellow peas.
