Severe Seborrhoeic Dermatitis

I am currently suffering from severe Seborrhoeic Dermatitis. My doctor has prescribed shampoo with Ketoconazole and Ketoconazole in pill form. The Ketoconazole pills are effective but I experience a flare up as soon as I run out. The shampoo has never helped at all.

In addition to severe scalp flaking, the fungus has spread to other parts of my body as an itchy red rash. I was put on prednisone to clear up the rash but I suspect it led me to developing boils on my neck, at the hairline. The boils were far more painful than the itchy red rash so I've stopped taking the prednisone.

I have tried a variety of shampoos and anti-fungal creams but nothing works. Cortizone-10 Hydratensive Soothing cream is effective in stopping the itch but otherwise does nothing.

The only remedy I have not found mentioned on this forum is Brazil nuts. Brazil nuts are perhaps the richest dietary source of selenium which is used in Selsun Blue.
