The Core Protein Required for Liver Functioning

You may have not heard of this Master protector of the Liver. It plays the most significant role in the integrity of the cell within the liver. GLUTATHIONE: it is produced in the liver and plays an important role in the Metabolism. It is composed of cysteine (is one of the 3 glutathione precursors you body needs to make glutathione. The other two are Glyceine and Glutatmic Acid.

you see if this particular antioxidant is not active at the level required than the cell will die. Your body makes cysteine mainly from Methionine. Other precursors (building blocks) for cysteine are the minerals: selenium and folate and the B vitamins: B1, B2, B6, B12.

If you are deficient in any of the above nutrients (or they are being used in other bodily functions) your body cannot make cysteine and thus cannot make glutathione.

A reptible resource, go to http://www.pubmed.gov
which is the U.S National Library of Medicine & Health this is where all the professional researcher & scientist go to for the latest developements on a particular disorder or disease.
