Can't get off milk thistle - please help!!

I've just done my first liver flush. This was in great need and unless I get some major complaints from my body I'm going to carry on flushing when possible, but probably do a kidney cleanse first. I've been on a high protein diet for 8 months now and my energy levels have been great but problems are starting to appear - kidney stones - liver ache, plus I'm trying to get rid of candida.

I've also been on MILK THISTLE for about 7 months. I now know you shouldn't be on any herb for this long. BUT I can't get off of it! Hopefully several Liver Flushes will help but in the meantime I need to eat! I feel better when just eating veggies and a tiny bit of protein but have to keep some weight on me, I am already a skeleton.

Everytime I eat protein without milk thistle my tummy just STOPS. This is even when I take my B-complex with zinc. Without my B-complex and zinc it's even worse. So I would have thought, stay on the milk thistle if it works. BUT milk thistle makes me short of breath and I'm sure worsens my already low iron and manganese levels. I just can't breath, plus I'm trying get rid of hypoglycemia which will require normal manganese levels. You can see the slight pickle I'm in.

Will Liver Flushes eventually lower my need for milk thistle? In the meantime what is the course of action? Are there steps I can take to improve protein metabolism? I've heard niacin is much needed for this. The other strange thing is, I have been told I'm protein deficient. How can this be?

The other problem with milk thistle is the oestrogen content. I think this maybe upsetting my natural balance or even stopping me from getting rid of candida. Does anyone know about the problems with milk thistle? All I can find is info on how beneficial it is.

Thanks for your help!
