Re: Primal BluePrint Diet
I read Primal Blueprint about a year ago & have been tinkering with that way of eating off and on.
I'm not overweight, so I didn't do it to lose pounds, just to be healthier; however, I was strict "primal" for about 9 days (no grains, no refined sugar, lots of veg, fruit & meat) and I noticed my clothes were looser - probably water weight.
Yes, I believe you can be "primal" on chicken, eggs & fish. Red meat, while encouraged, isn't mandatory. My take on it is that you focus on eliminating grains (hard to do, at least for me) and any "fake" or processed food, at least as much as possible.
When I'm not eating grains, I don't get sleepy in the afternoon, I don't have energy crashes and surges - my energy level stays steady, and I don't get the "hunger shakes" (typically caused by a rapid drop in blood sugar, courtesy of eating too much sugar/starchy food.)
